Warranty

1. The Floataway warranty fulfils or exceeds the legal requirements in the EU.
2. Safety critical parts, namely the electrical earthing (grounding) arrangements up to and including the connection point to the building electrical supply and the solution-temperature-limiting parts, are warranted to remain safe or be replaced without charge for two years from the date of installation. This does not include the building earth (ground) provisions.
3. Parts specified in this list are warranted to remain safe and functional or be replaced free of charge for one year from the date of installation : pumps, motors, heaters, controls, sensors, hinges, hoses, cables, filter housings, pipes, pipe fittings, mouldings, insulation mats, panels, fastenings. This warranty covers manufacturing defects or failures other than failure due to abuse, lack of proper maintenance, damage caused by lightning strike, floods, building failures, inappropriate supply voltages, glass breakage or failure of third party equipment.
4. Replacement parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period unless otherwise stated at the time of replacement.
5. Replacement parts are supplied only to Floataway customers.
6. Replacement parts are delivered as quickly as is reasonably possible, no guarantee of elapsed time is given or implied.
7. Claims under warranty must be made in writing, fax or email to our Hingham address.
8. Before sending replacement parts we may ask for simple diagnostic checks to be done to confirm the nature of the problem and if these checks are not done we may apply reasonable charges for wrong diagnosis.
9. Parts not covered by warranty include chemicals, salts, filter cartridges, general consumables, tools, Manuals and CDs.
10. When also covered by a service contract, parts in this list are warranted for free replacement including labour and delivery costs : pumps, motors, heaters, controls, sensors, hinges, hoses, cables, filter housings, pipes, pipe fittings, fastenings. Mouldings are also covered if a fault attributable to a manufacturing defect develops. A fault within this section does not include osmosis, scratches, chemical damage, exposure to chlorine or peroxide in excess of 20ppm, abuse, lack of proper maintenance as specified in our written instructions, damage caused by lightning strike, floods, building failures, inappropriate supply voltages, glass breakage or failure of third party equipment, ultra violet light or heat damage, salt crystal damage, unusual impacts or forces.
11. Floataway retains the right to use third parties and to substitute parts retaining the original function during warranty repairs.
12. Floataway retains the right to change the design of any failed part and to supply the changed part(s) in order to reduce the risk of future failures.
13. Floataway warranties and guarantees on our products never include any liability for consequential losses, damages or injuries whether or not attributable to our products or services.
14. We reserve the right to charge to replace parts which have become damaged through malice, neglect including failure to maintain, or abuse, or through fair wear and tear.
15. Products which are bought for self-assembly have our warranty on parts provided always that the assembly is performed in accordance with our written installation instructions in a suitable location.
16. No warranty is given on second hand parts unless specified at the time of delivery.
17. We may require the return of failed parts at our expense and failure to return such parts will invalidate the warranty and entitle us to charge for spare parts already supplied under warranty.
18. Our warranty is invalidated if our products are modified or moved without written consent, or used other than in accordance with our written instructions.
19. Variations to our warranty provisions may be negotiated only in writing and Floataway services outside or in addition to our warranty duties do not imply changes to the warranty.
20. The warranty is invalid if the products have not been paid for in full at the time of installation.
21. Our warranty does not limit customers' rights.
